Sandy and I bought our little Christmas tree farm in December of 2001. It's just a tiny farm 1 1/2 miles east of Dickens, Iowa. We've always called it our semi-private Christmas tree farm because we've never advertised. We've always had the same families come out to cut down a tree and we decided early on that there just weren't enough trees to supply the number of new customers that advertising would draw. How's that for loyalty? The families who come here have become a part of our family. We've had more laughs than you can imagine, and we've shared a few tears when there's been a loss in our extended family. The closeness we feel towards our customers is something that very few businesses, part-time or otherwise, get to experience. We wouldn't trade it for anything.
And so that brings us to our laser business. Two years ago, we purchased a laser, with which we burn photographs into wood as well as cut unique shapes out of wood. We've been making and selling products out here at our farm, and through QuiltNKaboodle in Cherokee, Iowa, which is a neat little quilt shop that my sister, Ginny, owns with her friend and business partner, Kim. If you're ever in Cherokee, check them out or visit their website at www.quiltnkaboodle.com. They run a fun shop! At the Clay County Fair in Spencer, Iowa, a good friend of mine was kind enough to share his booth with me, where I made a lot of wonderful contacts. My niece, Kerry, has sacrificed a great deal of her time to put together this website for us, and here we go! We're in our infant stage right now, so please bear with us. We will be constantly adding products along the way . Make sure you check back often !
To all those who have shared a bit of their life with us, we thank you. To all those who are about to ----- Welcome, friend.
